The Gravity PDF Core Booster Addon is a premium extension designed to unlock advanced customization settings for the standard "Core" (free) and "Universal" (paid) templates within the Gravity PDF ecosystem.
While the base Gravity PDF plugin allows you to generate documents, the Core Booster is what you use when you need to change what specific data appears and how it is laid out without writing custom PHP code.
The addon adds a new suite of settings to your PDF configuration screen:
Filter & Reorder Fields: Unlike the core plugin which usually exports the whole form, this allows you to pick exactly which fields to include and drag-and-drop them into a new order specifically for the PDF.
Custom Content (Rich Text): You can add a "Rich Text" area at the very beginning of your PDF (before the form data). This is perfect for adding custom introductory letters, specialized headers, or static business info using merge tags.
Show All Choices: For Checkboxes, Radio Buttons, or Select fields, you can choose to show all available options and have the selected ones "checked" (using โ and โ icons), rather than just listing the user's answer.
Field Descriptions: You can toggle whether to include the "Field Description" text from your Gravity Form in the final document.
Pricing & Product Fields: Allows you to break apart the standard "Order Summary" table and display individual product fields as standalone items anywhere in the document.
Additional CSS: Includes a dedicated CSS editor to tweak fonts, colors, and spacing specifically for the PDF output.
Nested Forms Support: If you use the Gravity Wiz Nested Forms perk, this addon gives you three different layout options (Standard, Table, or Transposed) for that data.
Gravity Forms: Must be installed and active (Paid).
Gravity PDF: The core free plugin must be installed.
Template Compatibility: Works with the 4 free "Core" templates (Minimalist, Rubix, etc.) and any "Universal" templates purchased from the Gravity PDF store.
Peer Tip: Use this if you need to create "Internal" vs "External" versions of a document from the same form. For example, you can create one PDF for the customer with only their order info, and a second PDF for your warehouse that includes internal admin notesโall using the same form entry.
Install: Upload the ZIP file and activate the plugin.
Configure: Go to Forms > Settings > PDF.
Edit Template: Click "Edit" on your existing PDF configuration.
New Tabs: You will see new sections like "Template" (where reordering happens) and "Advanced" (where CSS and Custom Content live).
Would you like me to help you write a custom CSS snippet for your PDF, or do you need assistance setting up a "Custom Content" section with specific Gravity Forms merge tags?
